The blade barly missed her head cutting off long strands of hair. "Try harder next time." Delk's voice came from the shadow as it solidified into him. He took his seat at the head of the table. "Sit, eat, you will need your stamina to face the hardships that will present them selves this day." he spoke as he took out a flask and gulped down the contents. There was only baby food and one place with food on it. Delk motioned with his hand for her to sit.

"But I'm not hungry." she said as she sat down holding Matthew who was still too young to eat baby food much less sit up on his own. She looked over at where she had been standing, "You cut off my hair you bastard!" she exclaimed angrily as her free hand went to her hair feeling the un even cuts across it and missing chunks of hair. "I can't believe you would do that...I take that back you would do that."

Delk brought out his wand and with a silent spell her hair was even. It was also a lot longer then it had been. "With Vampyre females there hair represents there stasis in society. Yours is never again to be shorter then mid back. Understood? Now eat." at the command to eat his voice sounded weird compelling beyond belief. No Vampyre could withstand his commands if he used this power. Not even ones that were as bull headed as his daughter.

Morgan picked up a piece of toast and took a bite. As she chewed the food that was in her mouth she looked down at her hair seeing that it was below her hips. "My hair hasn't been that long since I was little." she said pouting as she continued to eat even though she wasn't hungry.

"Get used to it." Delk said with a laugh. His voice took on an odd tone. "We need to get going soon." his eyes were wide and violet. "They aren't happy with us." he said with a smile.

"I'm finished," she said finishing the piece of toast brushing the crumbs off of her readjusting Matthew as she stood up. "I really just want to get this over with." she said quietly.

Delk stood, as he did the house elf poped in and cleared the plates. "Lets get going then. We have a loooong day ahead of us." he said with out so much as looking at her as he strod out of the room.

Morgan quickly followed him hoping she wouldn't trip over the damned dress he was forcing her to wear. She hated them with a passion, especially long ones. Short mini skirts she could stand but she held Matthew close to her keeping up with Delk fairly easily.

Delk lead them through the throng of morning in the Vampyre lands. As they walked he watched every one give way to them. If only they knew... he thought to himself. They gave way because he was Prince, if they knew he was king then they would all bow before him as he strolled down the street. He made sure to keep Morgan close by keeping his pace down. As they came to the center of the city they came across a large gold building. It looked almost like a temple. Delk walked right up to the doors and hammered his fist into it as he knocked.

"Where are we?" she asked looking at the building that he was knocking on the door to. She wasn't used to being shown so much attention and she figured it was because of Delk.

"This, my daughter, is the Chamber of Trials. Its where the counsel meets for important, non public trials." As he spoke the huge golden doors swung open into a dark room with two lights in the center. The room was the only room in the building. It took up the entire space from floor to ceiling. Delk marched in valiantly with out so much as a pause.

"Are we on trial for something?" she asked following him quickly Matthew cooing ruining the complete silence that they were in.

"Sort of." he said with a faint half hearten smile. As they stood Delk could feel the presence of the thirteen council members. As each seat high above them lit with an eerie green light a Vampyre was sitting there.

"We have called you here to explain why you, Joshua Delk have yet to train your seventeen year old daughter, why you have withheld the birth of her son, why you have yet to start the boy's training, why you have not brought the heir of your father with you, why you have returned before your sister's death. These are the accusations against one Joshua Arlon Delk, Prince of the Shadow Walker clan." Came an echoing voice from above but it seemed as if none had spoken.

Morgan looked at them and then at Delk quickly turning her attention to Matthew who started crying already feeling uncomfortable in the situation.

Delk smiled slyly. He looked upon the council with a grin even the devil would wonder about. "Because I felt like it." he said with a grin and cast his eyes up to them in defiance. There was stunned silence.
