"Why?" he asked as he looked down at it. "I ask because if its what I think it is then It belonged to me before I gave it to Mary Dorlin." He flipped the charm over and showed her the faint D engraved into the back.

"That was my mum's name before..." she trailed off Before she married that monster who's still looking for me. she thought looking at him her eyes betraying her and showing the thoughts that flowed through her mind. She took it back and opened the locket up showing a picture on one side of her mother and on the other of Morgan herself as a baby. "Its the only thing I have left of her...I gave her charm bracelet to Professor Gania."

Delk ran his thumb over the picture of Morgan. As he did this the picture and small frame slid down exposing another picture below it. A blond haired steely gray eyed young man stared up at the two of them. Delk many years ago. He let it fall back into her hand as he walked off. "I have something to show you." He came back to the room seconds later. In his hand was a picture of many young wizards and witches. He handed Morgan the picture.

Morgan stood there rather stunned and took the picture from him when he returned. "W..what is that?" she asked looking into the picture. "Why is my mum in this picture?" she asked curiously. It was the first time in a long time she had seen a picture of her mother, the very first time she had seen her mother look truly happy. Her mind flashed back to the earliest memories of her childhood and her lip quivered a little as she remembered the constant fights her mother and the man she thought her father was had. Her mind also flashed back to the first time she had used magic without realizing it and how she had gotten beaten for it until her mother came and took the brunt of it.

"This was a picture of that generation of the Order Of the Pheonix." he said with a slight saddness in his voice. He pointed to himself, then Mary, then resting his finger on a third person. A male with dark blond hair, fair skin, and the same stelly grey eyes as Delk. "And that was Ven, my brother, a few days before we became spies for the Order." As he said this he pulled up his sleve and there faintly shined the Dark Mark.

"I...I..I've never seen my mum so happy." she said still looking over the picture. She looked down at Delk and the man on the other side of her mother. "Spies?" she said as she looked down at the mark on his arm, "The dark mark." she said quietly knowing it ment that he had also taken the oath as a death eater. "What happened to him?" she asked not knowing.

"He was betrayed by the Order the same night the Potters died." he said his voice full of venom. "He was killed by Mad eye. On the orders of Dumbledor. Ven was Lilly's frined. He was trying to save them. Now I serve the Death eaters willingly."

"T..Thats why my mum went to America wasn't it?" she asked looking at him, "Dumbledor is dead so its fitting that he got what was deserved of him." she muttered quietly her face cold looking.

"No, he got off more lightly then he should have." Delk looked away. "My brother was feeding the Order every thing we were able to learn. Then to turn on us as nothing more then mere pawns. To scrafice us. If it hadn't been for my telekinsis then I would have died as well. Some how Mad eye found a way to kill us with magic. But that secret will die with him." Delk's eyes were violet and the shadow behind him rose as if possesed by a demon.

Morgan looked at him more urgently, "Thats why my mum jumped the pond wasn't it?" she asked curiously. She looked back down at the picture her mother between Delk and Ven. She could see her mother talking and laughing, in all the years she had known her she had never seen her laugh or barely smile.

"Yes," he said as he looked away. "But she failed to key me into the biggest secret of her life." Delk looked pointedly at Morgan.

Morgan looked down feeling bad, like she had done something wrong, even though she had known full well she didn't. She handed Delk the picture back and carefully placed Matthew in his crib. "So when do we go to see the council?" she asked curiously trying to change the subject.

"It wasn't your fault." Delk said sincerly. "She didn't want me to know obviously." He placed the picture on the dresser in the room. "We see them tomorrow morning. But I had to come here to become King first."

"Maybe she didn't know until after she left." she said inadvertently defending her mother even though it was the most logical answer. "King?" she said curiously, "Why did you have to become king first?"

"To protect you and Matthew." he said with a smile. "She might have, she might not have. I'll never know." he looked at her and grinned. "Go to sleep my child. I will wake you when first light rises."
